Evening H/L is a running read with structure: the first hour after the 18:00 ET reopen is the evening's IB (the NY-open parallel), so take your first serious gauge read once that hour completes, then re-check at the Tokyo (20:00 ET) and China (21:30 ET) opens, the overlap windows where the night's extremes usually print (one extreme is in by the China open on 92% of nights).
